I bought a Humming Bird with the idea it would beep when I got into shallow water. The problem I have is the instructions on how it works suck.... Can someone explain to me how it works and how to set it up?

No need for beeping on a loud ski boat. Set it on feet and watch it when your boating and if it reads 4ft or less slam on the brakes and get out of there.
