The last 3 trips to the lake neither of my speedos have read a thing. Any ideas on a place to start?

Use a fine wire on the pitots.

Drill bit works well but trying to hand drill out an obstruction in your pitot can be quite challenging. I keep this with me in the pouch by my right knee.

As you can see its nothing but a syringe with plastic tubing on the end. Disconnect the Speedo tube at the pitot, draw water in the syringe and connect its' tube end to your pitot, then back pressure the obstruction out with water. It's worked for me 99% of the time w/o fail. The other 1% usually takes a fish hook or drill bit to remove the wood that was driven in with a sledge hammer.
