Do you ever have a day where you are angry at nothing in particular, just a general angry feeling? Its a bit dangerous I suppose, or could be. I hate days like that...... it makes me...... angry.. grrrrr.

Being from Florida its not like you have to winterize your boat this week, what's you problem?
For thousands of years men have felt the irresistible urge to go to sea, and many of them died. Things got better after they invented boats.

Evidently you and Mrs. 76 are suffering the angry syndrome today. I'm angry too because today is my only chance at getting off early to ski and it's pouring rain.

Thanks Hollywood, two stiff drinks and and hour of 8th grade algebra cleared my head. Man... I hated 8th grade. Never really thought I would have to do it over again... Kind of sucks.

But I'm not mad anymore.

Life is too short to be angry and if you are on this site you likely have access to a great boat, that makes you luckier than 99.7 percent of the world... so go for a boat ride. I have never been angry when bouncing a v8 off its red line. When I floor mine at about 6k I have never been less than down right giddy.

Agree with Joe, he's always got a great perspective on life.

I've taken out plenty of anger issues on boats in the past and felt better after...always my brother-in-law's MC's, of course.

I usually take my anger (and I have a fair amount of it) out at the gym.

I do agree with the rest who stated to let the boat get handle it for you.

I don't believe I've ever been angry while out on the boat.........well at least angry for very long.

It's a disease and it spreads like wildfire, your family, co workers, even your dog knows when your angry so knock that *************** off and get over what ever trivial crap has you down. Most of us here are fortunate enough that we have some control over what makes us angry and can get rid of the cause if we have the guts to.

The good news is that it only started pouring rain once I was 1/2 way around the block walking the dog just now. The dog loves it and I dont mind the rain. Hell I was born wet.
I had an audio guy come down to the boat and adjust my amp so the tunes should sound much better now without fear of blowing up the speakers.
My schedule is packed the next few weeks and this week is nuts. Thursday is a 4 am out the door 15 hour day and Friday is gonna be a 12 hour ordeal with East Coast big money types.
But today I may have the time to go for a spin. In fact if its not pouring I shall make a point of it. i shall splash the boat and blast the 6 miles to Pelican Pier where I shall enjoy a cold Shock Top draft and watch sports center. I may just go alone.
Happy.

Very well said! This was taught to me long ago, but I didn't understand it then. My path to the a-fore mentioned place has been a taxing trek.

Life is too short to be angry long.... If you let it get to you then you're doomed and it will eat you alive in the end. Ok to be angry but sometimes you just gotta suck it up, put your Big Girl panties on and laugh about it.

I installed my heater last weekend - knuckles all scraped up, sore from being a contortionist under the dash, fighting hoses that wouldn't go where I needed them to and fittings that didn't fit, smacked my head a few times on the flightpipe mounts .......

And I was very happy.

I try to view life in a way that I'm so lucky, healthy kids and all, that it's actually disrespectful of me to get angry and not appreciate what I have. I'm not perfect, doesn't always work, but when I'm fed up and can't get out of it ....... I go work on the boat, ride on the boat, sit in the boat.

Life is awesome. John, you've got lots of friends here, glad you vented and hope all is well now.

You don't have to read all the great responses on this thread to know that the folks on this site are well-adjusted happy people. In my years on the site, having witnessed countless selfless behaviors, the free flow of information, the comaradarie, the joy of being behind or working on old boats that nobody but us cares about, the deep and lasting relationships that have been formed between people that live all over the country... Having met some of you I'd say my firsthand experience backs this up.

I am always impressed by the community on this site, and I am often advocating among my friends that internet forums such as this are the REAL social network; a place to make lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with folks none of us would have met any other way. Just amazing really.
