Funny you should ask. I ran up to the lake after the CT Mini Reunion and ran into Cathy. She asked if my friend was still interested in the Chris craft. She still has both.

Always proof your links! Corrected and proper link More pictures sure would be great but I'd say it's a 1975 to late 1977. If the windshield was black it would tell more. |

I'm going with '74. Round trailer fenders where mid '76 would be flat. Smaller diameter pylon rules out '76 and a few '75's have a bastard pylon. Plus the stripe on bottom of Ski Nautique is different which makes me think 74. But yet didn't '74 use a different air vent or was that '73? Where at in NC?

Found it on craigslist. Was super interested then I seen theyre asking $2950. It's near Charlotte. Has an anodized aluminum windshield (75 and earlier) but a rope rub rail??

Most likely a '75 with the black dash, but could be a '74 as well. Bottom stripe doesn't look original no matter what year it is. Platform was added later. Rub rail too.
Reachoo sure is painful to use, CL ad is much easier to view. |

Seems like a decent deal on a ski someone could do some light duty swerving on. What do you ride now?

I'm a new slalom skier. I learned on a skinny, short kid Connelly I think. I need a binding now, since I just bought it. Any places near Fox Lake or thereabouts you suggest?

The 67 burner is fine for 185, I'm 200 and used a 67 burner as a casual ski. It's really a good piece especially at that price.

I have run the course on a 69 magnum and I am 190-195. You just slow down and work on form. It was the older style magnum though.

Now you need some bindings, if your travels pass you by Skipper Bud's and Munson definitely check out their Pro Shops, they both usually have a binding bucket with closeout deals. Also be a good opportunity to size and see what is out there.

Pete, I also learned on a Joe Cash, that was my Mom's favorite ski. She was a crazy lady on the slalom ski, blind as a bat so she would JUST pull with all her might crashing through the wakes crank on the turn and come flying back. My Dad had a Rail Custom, he was a little more restrained, but skied at (what I thought at the time) was crazy fast speeds, 36 mph. |

Steve,
The regular Joe Cash came later. I'll bet if I dig around, I could find the Jr. down in the up north basement. |
