^^ HW is correct- it was a goof pull for Carl while I was working on my LLBD's. When behind the BFN the set up is the fly high pole with a 80' line.

Kevin, ok 70'off the tower with a 20' boat put's you about 60' off the back of the boat. Greg say's 80' line. same problem in my opinion. To much prop wash and turbulence. As far as Carl's run beautiful LLDW tumble turn start, I can see how the tower can keep you up and out with more ease with that high angle. But what other advantage's are there with the tower? Also rope length seems still to short, aren't you beating yourself to death once up with the short line? Granted the tower will give you lift along with the short line for deep water starts. But after that the party is over. I guess its all what you are used to. As far as age and possibly being dated, no argument their. You guy's don't need my opinion just thought I would chime in.

Lisa,
No worries. Actually with the BFN it is not so bad @ 80'. The flyhigh / tower are great for lift and help to increase duration of your runs. Glad you chimed in - that is why we post for people to laugh, cry, cringe and ask for more videos...... |

Skiing behind the boat, 90-100' is a good idea. Whatever gets you behind the rooster tail.
3-event trick and wake, done in the curl, is better at 70-80' |

Seb,
I think that your kfs is just too close to being a standard Sideslide...even the trick description of a sideslide does not require the feet to be even...just turned 90 degrees(+)...so its still a sideslide but I appreciate your work at inventing something new. This is only my opinion though which does not count for much of anything....I would call it stealing second base. |

There are lots of better easier safer ways to learn to foot than stepping off of a ski. Its 2014. Gas was like 60 cents a gallon back in the 70's. |

Season over for me - partial rotator cuff tear in right shoulder. It will be PT for the next ~ 8 weeks then see what happens. Will look at this as an opportunity to get this taken care of and prepare to go visit John and Eddie early next year.
BTW, I will be behind the wheel of tow boat for this years New Years Day Barefoot Tournament on Lake Norman located in Moorseville NC. Lets get a CCFAN contingent together to take on those who support the "other" brand boats...... |

Kind of sucks - tough to do much of anything that requires raising the arm overhead or backwards.
No chance of repeating as the winner of the annual faceplant award - but heck, grab Jackie and come give this a try. Lots of fun times and great people to hang with when not on the water. |

That sucks Greg! ski injury?
rest and it will heal! Fortunately I did some rest and my waist pain has gone for some time. So far no pain while barefooting or playing tennis. |

I would say yes as a result of skiing. Not sure but thinking that I went into the water baccerds while still having the handle in my hand but not sure. Do know that it was on my last trip out in October |

I am hoping that you make the trek over this year - goes without saying that the family is welcome to spend the night at our place and ride up with us mid morning. |

absolutely no barefooting but i can watch stuff like this all day. it's mostly people falling off rowboats, with a random bikini hula-hoop contest squeezed in at the end.

nice HW!
now to barefooting! sunday rained during the day, no boat in the afternoon, so we had the river to ourselves. decided to go to the big canal instead of regular tiny river I ski on, which is narrow for LL. with that in mind and the double stack pylon, I decided to try LLBD, last time I tried them was at the WBC on april. Over I was able to do 2 nice runs on shoes. first run planted to soon, second run planted to soon, third run plane, bounce, let go... fourth run plane, planted, wait wait, got pulled forward Fifth run video! |

Absolutely the most out of control LLBD I have ever seen but a win is a win! LMAO
Interested in hearing your own critique after watching the video. I'm sure it was a battle and the best you could do from the other end of the line at the time. This is a great learning tool for yourself, and others. |

HW - nice step off right into the glass!
Jonny - EVERYONE of those wipeouts, actually almost every wipeout I see now just hurt - I feel them, every single one - is that weird? Seb - AWESOME - did you have a cup as you were laying your balls right on the pointy part of the wake - ouch! Great run though, when do you get out to try another? |

I think the wider the legs, more control while dragging but make it harder to stand up, then when I felt I had enough speed Is when I was thinking, hes you are to wide, try to clese the legs...
to many thing going on back there...I even bite my inner cheek, ended up spitting blood! but man what a ride! |

Nice run!
I used a store bought bite guard for years of footin. Now I use a dentist issued dental football bite guard. That lasted one year of foilin. Next year I will use my nightly dental bite guard for thee foilin. All of the years of footin, backwards, and forwards never wore a cup. Never had a severe ball buster. |

KBS. That's great. Eat your heart out ADV. One of the greater pains I had when learning was in my jaw/jowls as well. Fixed itself without really even thinking about it as my form improved. I think the key to that is to really crank your head up so you are looking at the sky and not into your own rooster tail.
