My grand father turns 90 this june! He invited all the family to celebrate to turks and caicos in the caribbean.
7 days in the beaches resort. After that im planning to stay a few days in Florida. 5 or six. Mia and orlando so i can take kids to legoland and another park. Florida dates are from 6-13 to 6-18. Im travelling with the wifey and the 3 kidos. im driving from mia to orlando and back, looking to stay 3 day or 4 in orlando. Need some advice in afordable accomodations for the family. hope i can sneak some time to meet ccfner in the area. see ya! |

90 is awesome!
I rarely vacation in Orlando so I'm not the best to ask. Do you plan on visiting Disney? If so that'd be probably your best option because everything is there along with transportation. |

Check out Vacation Rental By Owner (VRBO) We found a 5 bedroom home, minutes from Disney (60 minutes from Legoland) with a pool, very nice for under $700 for the week. You can spend a lot more and a lot less, but this place was very nice. As chance would have it, we may be in the area that same time for the USA-Volleyball Tournament National Championships, or at least my daughter and wife will, not sure if I am going to make the trip this year... |

My florida dates are 6-13 to 6-18.
Will drive to orlando the 13 and stay there until 16, then back to mia. |

Kapla, PM me. I have a condo near Legoland you can use while you are here if you want it.
Condo Its 15 or 20 mins to Legoland and about 30 to Disney. Backfoot, Jbear and I are close by and Bobby and his son are as well and Todd is north about 50 mins. Tom |

this thread is a perfect example of why folks on this site are awesome...how many of the people who just said, I'm this far away we have to get together have actually met Sebastian? here I sit on the other side of the globe and there's a guy who wants me to come spend a weekend in his home. truly remarkable place.

Holy S**t Kap, I have no idea how I missed this thread. You and the family are more than welcome to stay with us while you're here. We have three extra bedrooms, two extra baths and we'll give you the keys so you can come and go as you please.
The grand kids I'm sure will love to meet your kids and tell them exactly what they need to do at LEGOLAND seeing as we have season tickets for them and us. Not to mention that I have at least two boats at my disposal for some water time. The prices are certainly better than anything else you'll find....  Oh damn, I see Tom already responded too. FYI, I also have a pool as well. PM me if interested. |
