That's not a bad idea, I did bring a suit with me. I sent him an email, looks like he's in Perth now, maybe there will be a clinic in Brisbane when I'm here.

unfortunately that's the exact opposite side of the country...basically saying, while you're in Boston you should go see the golden gate bridge. I'm hoping there's something in Brisbane in the next few months

Adam does not need any stinkin lessons! If he was not so busy with important blue skink and hospital stuff, he could give the locals lessons. You ever run a half marathon and smoke a cigarette ?? Tell them Adam.

Hi there,

I am a CCF member, I live on the gold coast but work in Brisbane everyday, travel up here(not that good) But I have a 1998 sport nautique and I could take you skiing or riding on Somerset Dam, only about an hour from Brisbane. Let me know if you are keen to go out there, it is a nice fresh water lake, we do not have much fresh water places to ski here.

But Adam will have to let me know if he is available.

wow, how did I get a day behind on my own thread...? this work thing is a real drag

Steven, thanks for the generous offer, this trip is quickly running out of time, which is amazing since I've only been here 7 days of an 18 day trip. I'm working M-F and heading to Lewy's for this weekend, I wish you had contacted me earlier! Next trip for sure. And I'm gonna go with yes on the ladies, haha.

I think Lewy is referencing our first meeting at Green Lake 2013...bar challenges are made to be beaten, haha. Scroll down about halfway through the page for my comments on Storm34's recap.

I will have a recap of the weekend when I have a little time to write it up. Hopefully in the next day or so. Apparently they have topless barber shops here.

Ha ha ok mate, sorry i didm`t jump on this earlier, only just got back from a trip OS myself.

Yes we do have a topless barber shop in Brisbane, it is at the Grovenor Hotel, can even drink a beer while getting your hair cut, by the fine obviously qualified young lady.

Well if you got some time and just need to be shown around the gold coast, let me know.

Grosvenor, yep, that's the place. Its about 8 blocks from my apartment. I mean, probably, not that I would know.

I'm always up for making new CCFan friends, especially if they offer to take me skiing! Once my schedule is firm I'll let you know when I'll be back and we'll get something scheduled. Probably mid to late march.

Sorry I got a little busy with work the last couple days.

So these are a couple shots of the hospital I'm at, they're all crooked cause I was just snapping with my phone while I was walking.

Then on Saturday we went for a drive.

Not exactly sure what this is, but I took a picture

And then ended up in a rainforest, which was a first for me

Then a beer garden overlooking the coast...so long mid winter party break

Apparently there's a koala in this picture. I stared at it for 10 minutes and never saw it. Then blew the picture way up and still haven't seen it.

They got waterfalls here.

Since I've been here I have been in exactly 2 bars that have bar stools, and one of them was today at lunch. I asked a few people and they told me that basically no bar in the city will keep stools at the bars because people use them as weapons more often than they use them as seats, haha. The girl behind the bar today that had the stools told me she was hit in the head with one. I think I'm in love.

When I was 18 I thought an 18 year old drinking age was a good thing. They have that here, I have changed my mind. Most of the bars in the city are a mix between day cares and weird dance clubs. I've felt old before, but this is borderline weird.

One thing that's been a little surprising is I expected to see a lot of way drunk aussie's stumbling around, especially on the weekend, but it turns out that bartenders in the city have something called an RSA...a responsible service agreement, which is some kind of contract they enter into with the city upon getting hired that they're all scared of so they cut people off long before they should. Found that one out the hard way.

Up next, a weekend at the lake with Lewy.

I'm also real bad at acclimating to other countries. I can't tell the difference between accents, apparently there were Australian, British, Scottish, and New Zealand all in one room and I couldn't tell the difference.

I have learned a ton of new Australian slang though. Most of it I don't care for, because it doesn't make any sense, but the one I'll definitely be keeping is ranga. I picked up a real fiesty ranga last weekend, haha.

Adam was in the boat one day no problems. Thought all this "wrecking crew hoodoo" stuff was make believe...But on the second day a perfectly good battery died

Checked the purchase date on the battery April 2004. Sending the Interstate battery back to the USA with Adam for a warranty claim

Videos still uploading
