Hey Larry, you want to map out the California Delta? I think it measure about 1,100 miles in total length.

Brian,

I've looked up your setting before and have tried to understand, what constitutes the delta, all of that low lying land to the NE,E and SE of you? Where do you ski? Can you ski on all of those channels (sloughs?) or do you have to make your way to the more lake-like features. I guess I hear Roy refer to skiing on "sloughs" and his pics/vids suggest they are pretty narrow.

Can ski on most of the 1,100 miles Larry. If the wind is blowing the wrong way, keep driving till you find a slough wind protected. Very unique. Eddie, Hollywood, Seb, Adam D, Raindog, Keith, have all visited. I think they will attest. We like to say you can always find flat water in the Delta, which is not entirely accurate, but pretty close. BKH

I skied Paw Paw Lake in Waterveliet MI a bit in the early 70s. My wife's friend still has a cottage there. I haven't been back in years but remember it as pretty small and not usually ripped up. One end past the narrow point is shallow and weedy but the rest is nice. This is also the lake my Mustang lived on during this time frame and I remember it getting a lot of use. PO still lives in the same house there but his skiing sons are gone.
