Looking for the removable swim platform brackets for a 1996 SN. I have the 176 but I think the back ends are the same as the 196.
Let me know. Cheers! Chris |

It's possible they'll interchange but i sure wouldn't bet a dime on it! Being off a single degree in rise angle would be disastrous. I wouldn't want to be off by more than 1-2 deg in swing.
Did you call Alloy Marine? |

Yea, I've been calling them for over a week and left several voice messages. No luck.

Keep trying... It's highly doubtful you're going to find an appropriate used pair, the only thing rarer than used removable platform brackets would be used 176 removable brackets.

Brandon,
Yes, Those are swim platform brackets but did you forget to write something about them? Are they off a 176 that Chris asked about in his OP? |

I had sent him a pm about them but then it wouldn't let me load the pictures so I posted them here. If I remember correctly, the small mounting plate and the straight bracket were what was used on the 176 (along with a little non-removable piece in the center, don't remember if std ski Nautique had them or not). I think the brackets back in those years 96-99 ish were all the same. The reason the other mount and bracket were posted is that is the only style I have a complete set for. I think the brackets could easily be trimmed and rewelded straight to work, hopefully by a skilled friend for a few beers. The complete set I have is labeled Malibu on them, but I didn't know they had a boat with a negative transom angle (or any inboard ski boat for that matter)? Anyway, just trying to help him out as I have tried contacting Alloy Marine in the past also and never had success.

Interesting.
I'm going to my boat tomorrow and I'll take some rough measurements. Lets see how close they are. |
