We agreed on a price for this Sherwood 1.25" rwp but I'm not 100% certain it's the same as for my 351 Escort. The pump itself looks the same as well as we're both 1.25" but the bracket and pulley is different (irrelevant bc I'm only interested in the pump). And if memory serves me correct this is the impeller that I use. Where do I find the pump model number or how could I identify it?
I've tried posting pics of mine but my email seems to be down. |

I have opened it up but didn't see any numbers. I didn't think to go to sherwood's site, guess that makes sense. Skidim bc it's convenient, and way cheaper/smarter than our lousy dealers, other suggestions? What pump is on your Escort? Negative offset pulley? I know mickey mouse must've lost something on my engine at some point bc I have washers for shims to make the belts line up.

According to their site I must have a G85 but their pic looks different but great measurements. When it warms up Ill go out and take some measurements. |

Sherwood at Jamestown
Check the impeller pricing and you may want to consider a minor or major rebuild kit. |

Yep Jamestown is cheaper. I am gonna have to do something bc 2 months ago the pump started making a slight ticking noise off and on. I know I can rebuild it but I like to have a 2nd one for when I f*** it up.

Unfortunately Sherwood has been stamping a model number on a seperate tag that mounts to the pump on one of the half bolts.Where do you think they end up?? They were passing out real nice catalogs at the boat show. It lists a G85 for the Escort conversion and even lists the pulley number but of course they list everything as obsolete too.

If bearings and seals are needed, then a power transmission distributor comes to play! |

That impeller looks right, but I do not think the pump matches mine. |

Todd, I forgot to mention but you may already know it. The number of impeller vanes, bore, type of bore (drive type), O.D., and length can be used to I.D. the impeller. I've had to do it several times with unknown pump models as well as manufacture. |

Seems the few bucks spent on parts was a good buy. BTW, the model # on the '72 pump was found here: -=Grant=- |
