Hola!
Got the problem that when the tank is about 60% full and I make a turn, there's no fuel being sucked up. So either in the turn or right afterwards it's starts run bad. Anyone experienced this issue? Easy fix, or just get a new pickup (if that's what it's called?)? Thanks! |

Sander,
Pull the pick up tube and see if there's anything obviously wrong. Do check for holes from top to bottom as well. |

Sander,
Silicone would be the last thing I would use not because I hate the junk so much but from the fact that it's not good around gas and it's vapors. There aren't many sealants that will stand up to it but Aviation by I believe Permatex is pretty good. Permatex Form-a-gasket #2 (non hardening) is a close second. Before you use any sealant, check the condition of the gasket. |

How could you instantly run out of gas on a certain direction turn?
Have you monitored fuel pressure? |

Maybe there is some water in the tank & during a turn it rolls to the pickup tube?

It happens in turns in both directions. Haven't looked at fuel pressure yet, but that's something that makes sense. Less fuel, less pressure. Gotta look into that.
Also thought of water, but wouldn't it always be sucked up first, even with a full tank? Plus I cleaned out the tank just over a year ago. Thanks again Pete. Am a bit hesitant to pull it if I'm not sure I can put it back together right away. Gonna look for those 2 that you mentioned, though I doubt I'll be able to find them anywhere in Costa Rica.
