	Matt, Since you are looking for a "straight" strut, I take it your's is bent. Have you considered having yours straightened? Many have and some have even done it themselves with great results. If you don't have access to a press for the DIY, many prop shops will do it. They bend alloys of copper all day long!

	Listen to Pete. Unless it is mangled a prop shop should be able to straighten it. Post up a photo, maybe we can help.

	Pete yes mine is bent. You've helped me out with a few posts concerning this incident. The strut seems to have taken the brunt of the damage, showing an angle to one side and a slight twist. I put the shaft on our lathe at work and measured .003" runout on the dial indicator. New cutlass bearing, acme prop, and packing all are awaiting a straight strut so they can be reassembled. I've tried straightening it at work with a bottle jack in a few different fixtures, but man this thing doesn't want to budge. I'll talk with Fox Lake Prop and see about dropping this off with them. 	That is gonna be so easy to fix. I could tell you how to do it yourself but may as well let the prop guys do it right the first time. Good luck.

	Yeah I gave it a shot, but at this point I'd rather just pay a shop to do it

	Matt, As mentioned, that's going to be an easy fix. Ideally you should have a hydraulic press. Report back when it's repaired. Where did you get the .003" runout? As I've mentioned before, just aft of the strut is a common area due to prop hits. The .003 is the limit.

	The .003" was taken just before the prop taper
