I rarely visit the PN site and was wondering a couple things. Seeing the activity with our reunions, does PN have any? Are friendships developed between members like CCfan?

I never really liked the planet nautique sites. No one there seems to "care or know" that there boat is not a Nautique but it's a CORRECT CRAFT. Nautique this nautique that. Yeah off topic a bit, but just my opinion. If you don't like we'll I guess I don't care. But on topic it doesn't seem like for the time I spent on there, no one is like a family like everyone is on this amazing site. But with reunions I don't know if they have any.

If they have a newer Nautique, they have a Nautique, produced by a company called Nautique Boat Company which is owned by parent company called Correct Craft which also owns PCM and OWC. So, they own a Nautique and it's OK if they call it that IMO.

I haven't posted on PN since 2012 and I don't often check it but I was on that site every day for years and years. I actually created one of their first logos back in the day back when Jeff and Luke started the site. I want to say 2002 or so. Jeff initially had a 1994 SN and moved his way up into wake boats over the years. Seems like it's certainly a different community than this one in several ways but that doesn't mean that they are bad people or that it's a bad site.

I think there are more "Nautiquers" than "CorrectCrafters" in general just because of the passage of time and therefore not as many "Correct Crafts" still in use. This site welcomes all without discrimination

I'm not saying it's a bad site, really in general I just wish correct craft or nautique whatever you want to call it would make different types of models. I understand that it is all about family and water sports but come on, a nice cruiser would be amazing and I feel would sell. Just bring back boats like a Martinique or a mustang. Maybe even a Southwind. Those are the boats that just are amazing to have. A modern mustang boat would be so bad a**.

Too much cut throat competition in that class of boat Justin and for some reason outboards and jets are the hot sellers right now. Pontoons are popular right now but it's easy to see why with the amount of people you can get on one. I think of them as the mini van of the waterways

Pete, members have tried to get a gathering together several times but there never seems to be much interest. Nautiquehunter posts there quite a bit and even mentions when a few of us are gathering on Lanier. They just don't care as much about getting together as a group like we do.

I do kinda see why though....most 210's I would think drive the same year to year and the G's as well and plus they are tanks so why get together to surf each others boats. I don't imagine that a bunch of g's 230's, 210's gathered in the same place is gonna be all that much fun. True that is all about the people but in 95% of most cases, our boats belong to everyone at a mini , the keys are in it. Take it out for a spin if you want.

Jeff pops his head in here every so often and yes the PN G-23 is parked at Reids place. He has hung out with us and he and his family had a blast at The Norman Mini. He said the best part was riding in the Huricane. That did prompt him to try and have a PN gathering on Norman sometime this year...Seems to have some interest so I guess we'll see.

Somehow that sums it up(hard to explain)
While out sport says Nautique on the side and Inhave a N spf shirt etc it is a CC.
Last werk in JAX i was wearing my N shirt when a guy approached me and said : do you own a CC.
Right away I knew he understood the passion (he had a 2001 and hates the day he sold it 2 years ago)
Nautique is the brand but CC the heart and soul
Just like Mercedes in my home town and HQ of Mercedes will always be a Daimler...

Been a member of PN & CCF for about 10 yrs now, both started out mostly the same and had similar members, posts and decent info. Last several years PN has definitely gone in a different direction, it appears a majority of the active members are all V-Drive G Boat owners and mostly surfers, posts are mostly related to "what color should I get", how to make a massive wake or stereo, lighting, bling related items, not necessarily a bad thing if that's your Gig. CCF has mostly remained the same, majority of active members are direct drive owners, skiers/footers/boarders and providing reliable feedback to almost any question. As far as reunions, there has been attempts on PN over the years however they just don't seem to take off for whatever reason?? CCF has had great success with reunions and I really think they are a big part of why this community has such a "family" feeling.
PN is a good site, the owner Jeff is a great guy and fit in perfectly at Reid's mini, he took anyone for a pull who wanted to go, including my daughter and Donald's daughter :) and he must be doing something right because he gets a brand new beautiful PN CC/Nautique boat just about every year!!

Yes, I found Jeff and his family to be great people. Natalie and Chris's daughter had a blast getting pulled behind the G23. About a month ago I saw his 2015 G23 (or 25) coming out of Race City Marine in Mooresville and it is very wild. I know he is a little shy about mixing with the CCFan crowd, but I hope he is getting over that. I believe that he is. I have maybe three post over there and I am a post whore over here.

Nice site, I lurk once in a while. I wonder if I was 25 instead of 53 if I'd have a bit more interest in PN, but it certainly has a less personal feel to it.
