That plate should just pull out. It looks like you got all the screws out. If I remember correctly, mine was stuck a little as well. I got behind it and gently (forcefully) pulled it up.

You can pull it apart at any time. There will be a lot of gasket cleaning to be done. Make sure to photograph all progress and lay out parts as you take them off in order. this will make putting it back together an easier task.

Elbow Grease ! Not to much fun cleaning gaskets on a Holley. There is a lot of little ridges so make sure to get them all clean.

I just finished the rebuild on my 4160 (my first Holley 4 bbl rebuild). Not too bad. If you run into anything that stumps you let me know. (I have pictures).
The new seat assembly (the inlet valves operated by the floats) were completely different than the old ones. Everything else was fairly similar.

Thanks for your photo.

By the way, any idea if in the kit there is a part to change this part below :
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=9ECBD63702497F70!7690&authkey=!ADf5HlEp7ClvoUM&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg

Could not find out if I should change it and how, the black big gasket around seems lock with the part and do not have so big gasket in my kit.

Help would be apreciate

That's your secondary diaphragm. Yeah, I guess the kits don't include that for some reason. You can order that separately. I know Skidim has them, I'm sure Zach has them or whomever you bought your rebuild kit from should have it.

For some reason that one drive image doesn't want to work with the img tags, so I had to do it as a regular link.

This should fix it:

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=9ECBD63702497F70!7700&authkey=!AP9fekDKrYDLUvI&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=9ECBD63702497F70!7701&authkey=!AIbtNXIYjRg5bPY&v=3&ithint=photo%2cjpg

You have to give the Onedrive pictures a second to load.   Looks like the first one is your needle and seat. The second is various gaskets etc., which you may not necessarily use all of.

The needle and seat is inside the fuel bowl, and it is what the float pushes against to shut off the flow of fuel.

I should have given you the following link sooner. I forgot I had it actually, and i've been pretty busy with work. It's probably the best pictorial write-up for a Holley rebuild I've seen here, by MI-nick. Some of the pieces you've had questions about are illustrated well:

http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=24175&PN=1&title=carb-rebuild-88-2001

Your needle and seat are going to be inside the area of the of the red square in the following picture from the above thread:

Thanks find it and all is mounted now.

Any special other things to do before rescrew the whole thing on the boat?

Last thing i have to do iscreplace the iddle screw in and tunr them out 1 and half turn.

Normally i guess after all this my boat should at least start normally right ? Or is they something special to do before ?

Seat the orings on the xfer tube by rotating it and moving it back and forth, else a gas shower is likely

got it. :-)

The initial reason why I redo my carb was that my boat was smoking a lot of dark smoke, and the idle screw behaviour was not affecting at all motor RPM.
Also by disasembling I find a lot of unburned gazoline in the carb
Of corse all gasket was completly damage.

I hope this rebuild will solve my initial issue, it can just be better correct ?
