Hey guys,

I have a mid-80s era single-axle galvanized CC trailer for my '86 Martinique (even labeled as a "Martinique" trailer. I need a spare tire/wheel as it didn't come with one when I purchased the boat recently.. It is the 15" wheel with 6 bolt pattern wheel with 225/75/15 tire.

I know with auto wheels, wheel offset is a consideration. I haven't found any mention of offset when researching trailer wheels....do they all have a set/uniform offset?

Regardless, I found the following tire/wheel package that strikes me as a reasonable setup. Know the debate on tire brand is long....the 2 primary tires are also an off-brand bias ply, D rated, so unless I've missed something, I figure this would be a compatible choice for short term use if I ever have a need for a backup.

Shouldn't the fitment of this tire/wheel be ok?

thanks for any feedback.

Jeff,
With the older trailers, I've never seen an offset rim. They are neutral. Why a bias ply? How many miles do you pull it? How old are the existing tires? Even though I got reamed for how long I keep my tires, I suggest it may be time for a complete set (Tires are date coded)? Thankfully I don't need to go long distances often.
