The bow handrails on my 1994 SNOB are slightly loose. Can anyone tell me how I can tighten them? I have crawled underneath as far as I can and can not even come close to reaching the nut on the underside of the rails to tighten.
I am sorry if this has been asked and answered. If so can you steer me in the right direction? Thank you |

Well, that's where the nuts are. You have to get to them.

Aren't there access holes under the side upholstered cushions?

I was hoping that was the case. What is the process for removing the upholstered side Panals in the bow? The only screws I see are under the Velcro flap at the front, is that it? Thank you!

For hard-to-reach places, I use a ratchet/socket combo with several extensions + universal joint(s) for the bends.

The process involves a highly trained lemur. Very highly trained.
Just kidding, this link might help you a little bit: http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=23824&title=93-sport-coaming-pads Although, it doesn't seem to exactly get at the hand rail problem. Another thing you could try, is have a helper gently, or a little bit forcefully, pull straight up on the handrail as you tighten the screw. This may pull the nuts against the underside of the deck and hopefully create enough friction to hold them. |
