And don't kid yourself on those "shoe" skis. They're more like trick skis than barefoot trainers but still build balance and skill.

20 on the boom should be plenty, 22-23 long line, you'll be surprised how slow you can go

Ill pm you about the prop.

As soon as my boat is back together (replacing the strut bearing and stuffing box then it needs realigned). I will be doing a gps run and getting tach readings. Im not sure how accurate my tach is. But I also have perfect pass so I will be watching both to get readings. The rpm range on the motor says 4400-4800. The prop that is on it is a 13x13 oj prop with some dings from the PO. Im hoping within the next week to have the parts and get it back together for a run. Altitude is 5280 and possibly couple times a summer going up to mountain lakes which are 7xxx ft.
Thanks again guys

Yeah those things are easy first try I got the spin and missed the handle second try I got it and rode it but missed the video. 3rd try was sloppy. I just got some BFC shoes in yesterday so I am expecting some hard falls trying it on those.

I agree with Tim.
That 541 is an excellent choice at sea level but the 543 might be better at altitude. Definitely need to know RPM and speed with the existing prop first. We haven't a lot of experience suggesting props at altitude.

When people run down to the lake to see what's making that noise, you've succeeded.

Thats what I was thinking I will update you guys with info when I get it. Thanks again. Would it be safe to say to go with acme and not oj? Oj is like 50 bucks more expensive it seems too.

Acme > OJ in every comparison I've done. And I've done a lot.

When speaking holeshot, speed holding, throttle response and top end I've never had an OJ beat out an Acme. Acmes have never let me down.

I got your PM about my 541. It comes with a money back guarantee (unless you *************** it up), so at least you can get a "free" data point if needed. Just pay shipping.

I may have to do that. What worries me is you could run your boat for 20years with no problems and the 20 min you are testing one you ding it haha. I would be uncomfortable doing that at the lake we usually ski it alot of places it is under 3ft deep. Not that we ever really have any problems I guess. I know the lake pretty well.

You will likely still use those wood shoeskis to improve your skills with the small rubber shoes...or you will fall alot on the little ones. Use the big ones then use the little ones...and visa versa. Seipel teaches to steadily drop your speeds into the teens to increase drag which is more like on feet. This is just for turns.

feet closer together, start with elbows bent handle closer to body ...get a rhythum...1..2..3 on 1 get set 2 dip down some and 3 rise up and turn turn starting at your feet SLOWLY...think handle to butt and butt to handle....and then go try the reverse turn

my speed on little shoes is 27. the bigger ones slower

google shoeski king to see what you could do on those wood ones.

Thanks for that. I got a guy that skis with me who is pretty good. But really I have no business learning turns. I pretty much just started barefooting and got my first toe hold on shoes just yesterday. I just like trying things that are way out of reach because sometimes you surprise yourself in how close you get.

Had some action yesterday..finally the river is cleared from the floating plants...
looks like the high tides during the week, moved them and drag them out to the open waters!
Valentino also had a blast on the EZ footer....I want him to move to the boom, but he wants to remain on the swivel...he is comfortable there....

Seb, with the kids in the swing I tell them do one foot, the other foot and then hop...they will learn alot...don't lower the boom much...he could push his arms out and bend knees more but just make handle a little longer and keep boom there
