Adam's rust was exacerbated by the high speed. The back-and-forth is a clear sign.

Yeah he has been working alot on his turns on his shoes. But when he does them on his feet he realizes he is bad at going backwards. So he is going to work on it.

The back one foots- he needs to stop pointing the toe of the lifted foot...keep it flexed towards shin so it stays in position as its lifted and set down....when the lifted foot toe points the ski foot will do the same gas pedaling...

I bought the two that hollywood sent me I should have both of them sealed up for half the cost of a new one. I have been using a borrowed 20 year old BF international suit and it works great. I did not want to drop alot of money since it really only gets used maybe 10 times a year. |

Ok... I had to click on the CO guys post after seeing weather...
You should be double guessing your day when you need to put the bimini up to prevent snow accumulation on the driver and spotter seats. Nice though... |

Well, now that we know kneeboarding in 20+ inches of snow is your thing... the hydraulic removable top option might come into play when choosing your perfect boat...

Haha it might be. The kneeboard was the only thing we had that could handle the rough water and still slide off the snow covered dock 30' from the end. The water was so rough.

Did not get to try it out. This week I will. We all just hopped in my buddies boat because he had it in. Then I was freezing when I got out and was ready for lunch and go go get out of my wet clothes. I was bummed I did not try it I should have.

Question on back deep starts. Do you just get more comfortable breathing in the air pocket? Watching the WBC videos they say to just drag in the water for like 30sec or what ever learning to put your feet in the water and let them glide in the right position. But I feel like I have a hard time taking breaths even though I have the air pocket. I do know I only tried a few times. Im sure this and the whole backwards start thing it helps to just relax.

See a doctor? If you're holding your breath (lungs full of air) you won't be able to inhale, like scuba diving. Relax. Breathe. Practice that then door position. |

You shouldn't have trouble breathing.....as Kevin said, relax a bit. While you're riding on your stomach, keep your head up high, eyes open and look around. You should be able to enjoy the view looking back into your own wake.

Absolutely, have to relax, relax and wait, relax and wait, relax and wait. As Kevin (Hollywood) will attest, as he spent hours dragging me on my stomach waiting for me to get set... Same with what Mark said open those eyes and watch your wake. It is an AWESOME feeling when all of a sudden you can see more then your wake and you see the spray open up to that beautiful horizon - so very cool!

I only got an air pocket enough like one time. I think I got it one other time but I put my feet in too fast and messed up. The water is really cold in your face. Maybe thats why it was hard. It felt like I could only get short breaths in. I have never barefooted in warm water so im excited for this year. When I learned in September it was already getting cold.

Driving for back deeps is one of the toughest things in the world, You should be able to breath easily, so if you couldn't you were going to slow. The driver should see a fountain of water spraying between your legs. Too slow and the water will be rolling over you, too fast no fountain.
How are you putting your feet in the water? It should really be more of a feeling of putting the inside, side of your foot (feet) on TOP of the water as opposed to putting your feet IN the water. Toes should be pointing to your sides, no down into the water... |

The guy driving me can back deep so that prob helps. And im really not sure. Im gonna video this next time. I cant look at my feet obviously so im not really sure what I was doing. I know all my tries except the last one I put them in too fast and both at the same time and just kind of dropped them. I really need to relax and just play with putting me feet in to get the feeling for it. Then probably move to the shoes.

Wbc seems to like the one leg at a time plant....leave other on rope....drag around alot....setting the foot on in the water getting it to glide or slide....then going to a two foot plant......it seems to work

I gave some more backwards a try today. I had one decent once where my feet were in the water and I was going. But the other times Something was not going right and I could not kkep my feet from just dropping hard and getting pulled backwards. It was like there was too much pressure on my butt with the water and It just wants to pull me over as soon as I take my feet off the rope. Idk what to do

Are you wearing a cup? You want to ride on the cup in order to set feet in slowly...gotta ride the cup at least momentarily but longer is better. Be rigid. Set feet carefully...almost laying them on the water at first toes and feet cocked towards shins...set big toe and side of foot in...almost think plant ankles.........your driver may have been a little slow...like Holloywood said you need the little geyser from the crotch...keep the handle locked to your butt

I wonder if we can put the go pro on my bicycle helmet. Adam or I can wear it during a back deep up. That video might help you realize how much air and space you really have or should have. I am going to mount bindings backwards on my spare ski and bring it tomorrow. We need to make sure your back position is good and you feel the correct feet position to ski. Learning to get up should be part 2. Learning to ski correctly on your feet going backwards 1st is going to help.
When I saw you your feet were too close together. It was a bit choppy to say the least. If your feet are drop hard due it is due to spearing your feet instead of bending your ankles. Big toes pointed to your face, ankles pointed to face. You have to glide on the balls of your feet and big toe. My 2 cents. You will have here shortly :-) |

No you did not miss it it was not as good only hit 40. Back on went the old prop. It hit 40 today in the wind chop and 4 ppl in the boat. It was hitting 42 the other day. My only wonder is if a footer slows the boat down more when its over proped but I still think the old one is better.
