Hi, I'm looking for a strut 6dv for my Nautique 1970. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have already tried 6a6 strut and it didn't fit. So please help me out!!!!

Do you have the old strut? If so, and it's bent, have you considered having it straightened or even doing it yourself?

Yes I have the piece and the problem is that I can't find anyone that works on bronze to straighten it

Grand Rapids as in Grand Rapids Mi.? Being so close to Lake Michigan, there aren't any shops that work on bronze?? How about looking for a prop shop??

I suggested a prop shop since they are experts with copper alloys but I have a couple more suggestions. Try contacting a machine shop or metal fab shop. Also, we have members who have done the strut straightening themselves. It takes a hydraulic press.
