I've got a 2007 ZR6 engine. The engine shifts into gear and idles forward. Then on acceleration the throttle handle can be pushed wide open, but there is no response; the engine just continues to idle forward. Pull the throttle back and try again and it accelerates normally. This usually just happens on the fist acceleration after the engine has been off for awhile. Any thoughts?

Do you have Perfect Pass on this? If so, is it mechanical, that is, moving a physical throttle with a cable?

Yes, its has StarGazer on it, but when I move the throttle handle, the throttle cable moves normally, so it doesn't appear to be mechanical. And it happens with StarGazer on and off.

Hmmm, yeah. The Perfect Pass is supposed to take up the slack as part of it's initialization routine. I've found it doesn't always do as it's supposed to. It could be low voltage, but sometimes it just flakes out.

Next time your getting the non responsive throttle handle, open the doghouse, and look for the manual slack removal knob on the perfect pass throttle servo motor. If you're able to manually remove slack that way, you'll need to dive a little deeper into your PP system.
