I'm looking for the steering wheel and front flagstaff. Here are some pictures of the parts and my project. Please send a message or email at crtaggart@gmail.com

Colin,
Are you planning on a re gel of the hull and deck or just paint over the existing?

The entire boat is being ground down and regelled. Just ordered the gel coat this week. Custom matched from a chunk out of the boat.
Nothing in that fan deck was a match so we custom matched it. I'm going to put the boat back to the day it was born.

Hopefully you sanded/polished your sample to make sure you got an accurate match of the original color? And not the aged/faded/prepped for paint version on the surface...

The 1966 color wheel is on the reference section. What color was it?

Colin,
Here's page 2 of the color wheel out of the 66 brochure Tim mentioned:

Yes, what color is it?

It looks like seafoam green? What a drastic change with the red and black paint. I don't know how you get a good match from that old brochure.

Here's what ours looks like now after a lot of wet sanding.

You can't get a match from the brochure, but it will give some context as to what the color should look like (and help identify what you have). Seafoam wouldn't have been my first guess based on the sample above. Either it's faded/yellowed or it's a bad picture (or both). If the boat is getting re-gelled, I'd be darn sure to match the right color, and not a faded version of original.

Just hope you ordered enough, if it was a custom mix. I bought "un waxed" and then got the wax additive for the last coat. Takes a lot more gel than I thought it would require. What gun do you plan to use to shoot it? I used a 3mm tip gun. Also ordered Styrene to cut it a little. Keep us posted on progress and good luck. It's big job. Duane
Keep it as original as YOU want it

That sample spot was sanded and buffed to a gloss finish. Most of the fiber glass work is being done by my dad who owned the boat from 84-94. I was three in 84 by the way!! He is getting help from a guy who's been in the business for 30 years. So what he says goes....lol. We ordered 10 gal. The inside of the boat was white and the outside sea foam green.

All these pictures are from my phone so the color could look way off.
This is the latest progress. Port stringers in and glassed starboard side next.
