I ve got a 2000 Nautique that uses 2 pitot tube on the back and then goes in to a conversion box that runs wires to the speedo at the front.

Can someone please help me with a wiring diagram or connection for the wire to the speedo. And what speedo is the correct one to use

Hello,

I have a 2002 Sport Nautique that HAD that system on it. However, the pervious owner removed it and did the Faria Speedo upgrade. There is a lot of threads on this site about this upgrade. The 2000, 2001, and 2002, boats came with Teleflex Digital Gages that did not hold up well. They were kind of NEW AGE and OUT OF THE BOX thinking that did not go well. The pervious owner of my boat went ahead and changed out my boat gages before he had a problem.

The Fix is switching to Faria Analog gauges. If you boat has Perfect Pass and a Paddle Wheel you can buy a Faria Gage Kit to use this Paddle Wheel to get a signal from the Speedo. If you boat does not have Perfect Pass you can drill a hole in your hull and install a Paddle Wheel and install the Faria Kit. That is what the pervious owner of my boat did.

The Speedo retrofit kit is sold my www.nautiqueparts.com, at White Lake Marine in White Lake, NC use discount Code PND to save 10%. They are a CCFan site sponsor. I would also recommend changing out all the gauges to get everything to match up. Go to their gauges and you will see the 2000 - 2002 retrofit kits for Teleflex to Faria or call and ask for Townsend Link and tell him Cousin Donald told him to call you. You can also e-mail him.

The old Teleflex Digital Gauges would become had to read because the sun would damage the lenses of the gauges. Also, they would stop working in some cases. Sometimes you can find some for sale when someone has done the swap with a boat that has been kept out of the sun and they are still in readable shape.

Some will tell you NOT to install the Faria Speedo and just go ahead and do to the Perfect Pass Web-Site and buy the GPS Speedo that they make. Some will say go ahead and upgrade to Star Gazer speed control system and use it for your Speedo. There is several ways of dealing with this, but do not try to replace the Teleflex Digital Speedo which are no longer available as new anyway. If you buy the Perfect Pass Speedo or Star Gazer you will be buying directly from them.

I hope this helps,

Donald
