Okay CCFans..... 2017 is drawing to a close and the gatherings/minis are done for most of us and Old Man Winter is fast approaching. Is there an interest in having a Ruckus next year and if so then do the participants want to keep the same format as the previous years? Do y'all wanna change it up? Same weekend as the Sunnyland boat show or move it to a different weekend? Time to start kicking the ideas around while Fans are still writhing in pain from winterizing boats. What say the masses?

We are going - Val and I. It would be nice to be at the SJRR for the Sunnyland show weekend. For us, it's more about the people, but we don't get a show like that around here.......... We vote show weekend.

I would like to make it again. I loved the canal / locks trip to the boat show. I would not be able to take enough time to do the Jacksonville to Astor deal. A Thursday night to Monday AM at Astor always seems to work for me. I also need to keep my windshield in my boat.

Smith family will as always look forward to seeing everyone. Not sure if, and how many kids will come? Two high school boys, I would think, College girls probably not. Sunnyland show is always enjoyable, what dates are set for that?

The Farmer's will be there on any week decided but did enjoy the river cruise to the boat show. The Correct Craft factory tour was also great for those interested.

Mike ....I'd say the river cruise on Friday to Tavares has become a favorite staple to this event even if we did this on a different weekend. I know it's one thing I really enjoy doing....It probably makes sense to do it the 4th weekend in March as Daylight savings happens the week before so we'll have longer days to maximize boat usage and Easter is the following weekend.

Water is just starting to turn cold here in Florida. Cold enough to need a wetsuit. Funny enough, I was thinking about the Ruckus earlier this week and this thread appears! Looking forward to attending. Last year, at the Ruckus, I had an unexpected electrical issue that sent me home early. This year I am planning on attending. Hopefully, I will be able to actually participate in a few 'on the water' events.

hopefully the Deens will be able to fit it into our schedule. The trip to the show will be a very good idea. My have to bum a ride as Dad and Son may not bring both boats. Have not discussed with Adam so we will have to see how that works out. My windshield may not want to make the extended Jax to Astor run. Hopefully, Uncle Todd will show up with a can of Gator repellent.

Be great to see it finished BUT you can still come without it! Always plenty of room to hitch a ride and/or the Saturday night dinner is always GREAT!

If the Separator is not done we'll bring a couple of outboard drag boats to play with. Sounds like a super-fun time so we'll figure something out.

Chris, you've got roughly 3 months to "Git er Done" plus you live in FL so Old Man Winter doesn't really doesn't have much to say about it. Like Jerry said, just plan on going anyway, boat or no boat as there at always plenty of boats to hitch a ride from.

Been trying to contact Parramores about the event as the last couple of years they've knocked a little off the rate per night since we fill up the campground for several days but haven't been able to talk to a human about it yet. As soon as I do, I'll let y'all know.

In previous SJRR's; we've pretty much winged it on a GAME plan other than the run down the Ocklawaha River to the boat show.

Thursday- what ever folks wanna do. Some wanna head north to "the Glenn" and some south past the bridge and ski/raft up. Boats back on trailers if you're running down the Ocklawaha River in the morning. Dinner usually at the Essex to get your Fried food overdose.

Friday- Depart Parramores at 9:00am for the 32 mile ride to Moss Bluff Ramp. Stop for Gas, Ice etc. Launch and head to the boat show ASAP probably round 10:30..... Bout a 2 hr trip to the show itself. Leave the show round 4:30-5 (depending on what time the Lock closes.) Boats back on trailers and head back to Parramores. Mingle with CCFans and usually head to the Blackwater Inn for dinner and brews.

Sat- What ever folks wanna do. Head to the Spring or ski or whatever. Bring what ya brought cookout at the Rec Hall Sat night round 7-9ish???? Always a issue to set a time as if the conditions are fantastic, CCFans DON"T wanna leave the water.

Sun- Most folks hit the road but a few hang around as Sun is usually the best day as the sun is Hot, water is calm and the St.Johns River is begging to be abused.

Pretty much it.....always subject to change but tis always a fun time. Not too many places that you can run 28+mph for miles and rarely see another boat. Only wakes being made are usually the ones being made by the flotella of CC's.

Hey Y'all...I finally was able to get a hold of Parramores Campground. They're happy that we are again using their campground as River Ruckus HQ and will give us a 10% of the bill on Cabin/RV slot/ tent spot rental. Just let them know you're with he Correct Craft group and they'll give you the discount. At the time of this posting there were 15 cabins available. Parramores # is 386-749-2721. The Rec Hall has also been reserved for the Sat night dinner.

Phyllis and I are planning to be there. Daylight time is nice, but I think I would favor dovetailing it with the Tavares show and doing the Oklawaha run on Friday or Saturday. She normally works all day on Fridays, but if need be I could probably talk her into taking the day off. I'm going to work on CC Administration to allow me to bring the '61. It's seriously broken right now; engine filled up with water at the Masters and none of the department heads want to fix it on their budgets. Let's try to get the date settled soon!

They’re selling $180k boats and they can’t part ~2500$ to fix an icon?

Ha, It's not an icon to them... it's an old boat that slows up the work of getting their quotas on new boats out the door. Easy to see..... and tough to argue. If they are not evaluated on how many old iconic SN's they get out the door, why do it? .......other than they love Art, us and CCFan.............

You guys are all stuck in the past. Lets get that old dust collecting eyesore out of the lobby and replace it with something more in tune with things to come.
