That's funny must have come to the end of their life expentency . My neighbor with the Dunphy went down this summer too. Without asking he pulled the whole engine down. |

Getting ready to pull the Separator in the shop soon. Might be able to squeeze it in here for work if you'r willing to drive to palmetto to work on it.

Dang Art, we must have hit the time limit on the Interceptor marinization package - same exact thing happened to Dad's 63 this summer. We should compare block numbers - I bet they are pretty close. Interestingly enough, I also have the same issue, no one to take budget responsibility or give me space to work on it - HA! |

yeah, really. The only reason they still make the 200 is some sense of obligation. Big wake barges are where its at, man. 200 will probably fade out here soon to make production room for the G32. I guess the good news is, when surfing is banned everywhere, they can use them to haul coal up and down the mississippi. |

Wow.....Guessing maybe all they want is it sitting outside of HQ wasting away? Why take up space in the museum area for a boat that started it all. That's sad. Art...tell Bill or Greg that we'll be glad to take that old Ski Nautique off their hands for free and I'll even drive down to pick it up. Write off for them, frees up floor space, for a 200SN and I'll let them borrow it for the masters tournament if they wanna use it seeing as how I'm less than 2 hours away. It's a win win situation for everyone!
Hey, it'll look good sitting next to the very first and only Red & White Andy Mapple autographed masters edition SN. |

I don't think it's the first, but it is a very early Correct Craft production one. |

My first thought is the aluminum exhaust manifolds. VERY difficult to find so if it is a manifold, restoring them would be needed. |

I don't think the problem is the $$. It's more that no department wants to claim it and therefore no dept wants to take responsibility for it and spend from their budget on it. Worse yet, the factory is so busy that they don't want to give me a 10 X 20 foot space to work on it. |

When Larry posted the picture of the Heyday, it took me a few to figure out which end was the stern and which was the bow. Thankfully I spotted the helm wheel! |

Yeah lots of guys out there now designing boats with no clue. You wouldn't believe some of the things that have crossed my desk.....or the money spent to try something that ends up buried on the back lot.

I wondered what that General Motors guy who designed the Pontiac Aztek was up to these days. Seemed just like yesterday they were playing with their new Star Wars toys, now they are Chief Designers.

If that thing is what's coming we're in trouble. Even us crazy race boat guys know that the bow of a boat should be higher than the transom. Wonder how many lawsuits it will take for them to figure that out. All black gel coat too.....whew...

You guys are all stuck in the past. Lets get that old dust collecting eyesore out of the lobby and replace it with something more in tune with things to come. |

Ha, It's not an icon to them... it's an old boat that slows up the work of getting their quotas on new boats out the door. Easy to see..... and tough to argue. If they are not evaluated on how many old iconic SN's they get out the door, why do it? .......other than they love Art, us and CCFan.............

They’re selling $180k boats and they can’t part ~2500$ to fix an icon? |

Phyllis and I are planning to be there. Daylight time is nice, but I think I would favor dovetailing it with the Tavares show and doing the Oklawaha run on Friday or Saturday. She normally works all day on Fridays, but if need be I could probably talk her into taking the day off. I'm going to work on CC Administration to allow me to bring the '61. It's seriously broken right now; engine filled up with water at the Masters and none of the department heads want to fix it on their budgets. Let's try to get the date settled soon!

Hey Y'all...I finally was able to get a hold of Parramores Campground. They're happy that we are again using their campground as River Ruckus HQ and will give us a 10% of the bill on Cabin/RV slot/ tent spot rental. Just let them know you're with he Correct Craft group and they'll give you the discount. At the time of this posting there were 15 cabins available. Parramores # is 386-749-2721. The Rec Hall has also been reserved for the Sat night dinner.

In previous SJRR's; we've pretty much winged it on a GAME plan other than the run down the Ocklawaha River to the boat show.
Thursday- what ever folks wanna do. Some wanna head north to "the Glenn" and some south past the bridge and ski/raft up. Boats back on trailers if you're running down the Ocklawaha River in the morning. Dinner usually at the Essex to get your Fried food overdose. Friday- Depart Parramores at 9:00am for the 32 mile ride to Moss Bluff Ramp. Stop for Gas, Ice etc. Launch and head to the boat show ASAP probably round 10:30..... Bout a 2 hr trip to the show itself. Leave the show round 4:30-5 (depending on what time the Lock closes.) Boats back on trailers and head back to Parramores. Mingle with CCFans and usually head to the Blackwater Inn for dinner and brews. Sat- What ever folks wanna do. Head to the Spring or ski or whatever. Bring what ya brought cookout at the Rec Hall Sat night round 7-9ish???? Always a issue to set a time as if the conditions are fantastic, CCFans DON"T wanna leave the water. Sun- Most folks hit the road but a few hang around as Sun is usually the best day as the sun is Hot, water is calm and the St.Johns River is begging to be abused. Pretty much it.....always subject to change but tis always a fun time. Not too many places that you can run 28+mph for miles and rarely see another boat. Only wakes being made are usually the ones being made by the flotella of CC's. |
