I've seen quite a few old wood cruisers sitting on railroad ties waiting for someone to replank them.

I have been watching that thing for 3 years... Great price, but I just can't afford the vacation to sail it from WA to Milwaukee. The good news is, I see enough of those big old correct crafts from time to time to know that when I reach retirement, there will be an opportunity for that adventure, I hope...

Good one and so true. I just turned 63. My accountant told me can retire in 47 years. So, I've got that to look forward to. |

How is the ski wake? Can you put the Nautique Surf System on that girl? Will a suck-gate improve the surf wake? What tower will fit? Does it have under water lights.
Inquiring minds want to know. I know a guy with a 87 Black Fin with two outboards that pulls two deep water footers at 40 -42 MPH. This was done on New Years day. |

The burning question....is it a reverse-rotation engine?
Seriously though, it's a Beaut, Clark, a real Beaut! |

In 55, and with the exception of the 200HP Chrysler, all the engine choices were flatheads which would have been FWF so, they were all reverse rotation. Don't know about the repower?? |

Great looking boat and it could be the only one in existence. Great price? On market for 3 years? Very small, but enthusiastic market for that one.

I agree Bruce. Being where it is at makes the market even smaller, I believe the east coast would appreciate it a lot more. That would be a great three lakes boat, someone with a monogrammed shirt at the helm

That's ok Pete you can get a head start on on the dockage because John and I would rather wait til it gets warmer before we start the voyage back 😀

If I am correct, a "cruising speed" is the optimal speed (fuel, comfort, ride etc) and NOT the "top speed".
How would you cruise that to Wisconsin? By water or road? If that is in salt water, how often would the bottom need to be done. It sure is purty! If we all chipped in $20.00 we could buy it, sail south through the Panama Canal up to Jacksonville, south to Astor, and get here in time for the SJRR!! Who's with Me!!??? |

The "adventure" would be down the west coast, through the panama canal, across the gulf, and then either up through one of the riverways through the center of the country, or up the east coast/intercoastals and into the Great Lakes that way. But having said it and then actually doing a little research, apparently coming from Seattle to CA in the open water is quite treacherous. I checked Uship once, and I think they estimated like $12k to ship, but of course once they get into it I am sure that number goes up! |

That would certainly be an adventure! However, if in some serious sea's in retrospect, $12 G's would have been a deal?
