Larry,
Thanks!! Way back probably over 10 years ago when I signed on to FB, I guess I figured my profile picture was adequate.

That's all there was at the time, Pete. I just did some digging and found that the "cover photo" was not rolled out until 2011.

Another Ruckus is in the books and the 2018 CCFan mini gatherings have officially begun. Had a great time with those who came and got to introduce my youngest daughter to The Ruckus as she drove down from school in South Ga on Thursday. Was a bit chilly start as we all headed down to the Landing at the Blackwater Inn via the St. Johns. Bundled up and under towels and blankets for the ride back.
Fri Morning came early and was hard getting CCFans motivated to go for 25 mile ride in the boat in 40-50'F weather. Needed to get to the Lock by noon and did make it there by 11:55 but the Lockmaster went to lunch early so we had to wait for over a hour. Made it to what little of a show there was and left about 2 hours after we got there. Less than half the normal size of the show. The docks not being there REALLY put a Debbie Downer on the show. The journey back was great and got our resident CCFisherman's Wife to snap some pictures of the crew on the way back. Most of us ate dinner at Castaways off the river then called it a night.
Sat Woody joined us for the day to the trip to the Glenn and we had a good turnout of boats as you can see. Boy was a party going on.... Woody needed to get back so I left my girls with the Deen Boys and had Woody drive. The smile on his face said it all. He was back where he belongs in the driver seat and he is indeed giving the cancer that has invading his body an @$$whooping. Picked up Lester Todd for the journey back to the springs and let him drive Miss Scarlett too. Said it had been 30 years since he drove that boat and it was a thrill to let a professional put the screws to her
Sat night cookout was great as Mike took the helm of grill master and drove that thing like no tomorrow. Ribs, Dogs, and Ham were excellant as well as the company of those that were there.
It was again a huge sucess despite the low turnout. Parramores has been sold and renovations to several of the cabins has already been done with more on the way or a total replacement. Lori has moved to Tennessee and opened up another campground just outside of Gatlinburg. Pics turned out great as the weather was in our favor for most of the weekend. Hope to see more of you there for the 10th Anniversary of the SJRR in 2019. Thanks again to all who came, chipped in to help where needed and feed the small crowd in attendance. Enjoy!!!!!

For those that have done the trip from Jacksonville, are there public docks in Palatka? Thinking about making a trip up there this weekend then docking and walking two blocks to “Florida’s Oldest Diner”.

Ooh I think I might’ve found them.
