Hi all,
Just about done with my 1995 SNOB interior and carpet redo. The last item I need to attach is the engine cover skin and carpet. It was attached OEM with staples. These staples were a little thinner in gauge than the rest of the interior. The engine cover itself is made of some stout fiberglass. When I've tried to use staples to attach the new skin, the staples crumple up and never get into the fiberglass. I really don't want to glue. Are there any suggestions? The staple gun I'm using is a Fasco F1B 50-16 (20 ga). The staples I believe are Stanley SS. 1/2" crown, 3/8" in length. Thanks! Rich |

I glued & screwed my doghouse skin back on. Mine has a skirt of carpet, of which the napp does a good job of hiding the screw heads.

I glued mine. Worked great. Used weldwood contact cement.
