A friend of mine has a boat in his barn he has had for years it is a 1965 Correct Craft Tahoe 160 with an all aluminum 300 v-8 I believe. I have been told there were only 11 made just wondering if this is true and what the value is.

Well, it doesn't reference such a boat in the reference section, but a Tahoe did exist that year.. Maybe someone here has experience in the one off test boats like this. Other than that a 215 Grey Engine is listed at 160HP..
Good luck in your search. I'm sure it is valuable if there was only 11 made.. Moj' |

If it is for sure a CC , it will not go down in value unless it is neglected.

Get out your camera and post some pics. Someone here will probably be able to help.

An aluminum V-8 of that vintage...could it be the venerable all aluminum Buick V-8 of that time period. I believe Rover was using that Buick engine up until a few years ago. I believe Buick produced the engine from 1961 to 1963, then sold the tooling to Rover (and possibly others) in 1965. Mercury Marine might have marinized the engine around that time period. However, I thought it was 215 CID or was that 215 HP. Oh well just a thought.

I looked over the ref section info and if you look at some of the other models and the engines available there where some unlisted engine available, your right about the 215 CID but it might be an unpublished option like they have done on several other years.
