So far it seems hit or miss on repair. There are no new ones. Check out this thread on PN it's pretty much up to date. Particularly check out page 9,a poster there said he paid 500 to have his repaired, still did not work. I took a C1A1 from a early 90's Ford Mustang, one of the guy's on PN burned my Moats chip with the early 290 tune and it seems to run fine, just like the others there have found out. I have about 180-190 invested. I may have the later 300 tune burned on a chip sometime just so I have it. It addressed some rolling idle issues that PCM had issues with.

The PN thread is a really nice piece of work, great resource for those of us planning to run GT-40's off into the future. Generous of the guy doing the work to not be trying to make a business out of it.
I've yet to read about repairs to an ECM that reliably worked. A friend of mine bought a used ECM off Ebay and it did work perfectly, so if you can find a good used one that's the easiest solution, but they tend to be expensive and I'd want to see it run before paying for it. |

Speaking of the 300 tune ... I've bought the donor computer - a D1L1 as there weren't any of the C1A1 available and supposedly the "D's" are also compatible. I was planning on getting the chip and programmer when I located a 300 tune. Searching the various threads I haven't been able to find it posted anywhere. Anyone come across the 300?

Tom Franscioni is your guy Joe. Has not been on here since June but is on Planet Nautique regularly. His post here number 109 says he'll send it to you if you pm him. If your not a member there I'll pm him if you want.

I suppose something like this was bound to happen in this free enterprise world of ours Tom may not be trying to make any money but somebody certainly is. Saw this on PN new from Nautique Parts |
