When this thread was posted back in October 18, I made a mental note to post on my 15th anniversary, which of course Came and went (January 8, 2004) and I forgot all about it. So I am doing it now.

So I joined 1/8/04. This was my first post.

http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=65&KW=&title=where-to-ski-in-new-england

I had forgotten. I thought this was my first post.
http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=86&KW=&title=seeking-6669-mustang

I didn't post again until august, when I had changed my name to "75 Tique", an unfortunate error since it was early CCF days and I had no idea there was no such thing as a 75 tique, but that's what was on the title, so what did I know.

Since then, a few good memories,

-Finding and bringing home my Tique from Wolfboro NH

(Originally went to look at this Al Tyll, but came home with the Tique)

-Meeting my first CCF friend to ski - Ken Spurling
-Multiple ski outings in MA with Brad, Ken, Keith, Tim
-Gatherings at Sokokis, Northwood, Lake George, Tim's
-Beers with Brian Hall and Brian Mullin in Boston
-Skiing with Dip and Brian Mullin on my home lake in MA
-Much technical support from Tim, Joe, Pete, KenO, BoatDr.
-Gatherings at White Lake
-Periodic trips and one formal gathering at Reids, plus one trip over to meet Skutsch and hang out with him and Steve K and Reid.
-Meeting Marty Mabe
-A cold October outing on my lake with Reid and Adam
-Finally meeting my old school comrade, JBear before a white lake gathering when he, Bill and the Monohans dropped by Seven Lakes
-And subsequent Double BF runs with John just about every time we've met up since.
-Other Double runs with Brad, Tim, Joe, Greg, Scott, Uncle Todd, Adam, Hollywood, there must be others
-Hollywood coming to Seven Lakes for a couple outings
-At this point, almost countless LLBD training outings with Greg at Badin
-All 4 Badin Fest Gatherings, to date.
-Getting talked into NYD Barefoot tourney (2x)
-Keno's and David's generous contributions to my causes.

And many more memorable times.

Yup, its been a pretty good run, looking forward to another 15 years.

That pretty much says it all

And one of the best parts of the gig has been the start to finish refurbishment/stringer replacement threads by a bunch of people over the years.

They usually came looking for help/ideas and by the time they were done their projects were pretty impressive.

I'd start listing them, but invariably some people would be left off so I won't list any of them.
They're easy enough to find with a search.

By the way Pete, you'll notice I didn't use the "restoration" word

It's been a good gig.

Note to HW, I looked it up:

It's is the contraction (abbreviated form) of "it is" and "it has."

Larry,
The link to the search expired. It's happened to me too. I tried using your key words "bacerd+movin+motor " and the CCfan search didn't come up with anything. Yes, the "bacerd" did change our vocabularies!

I found this forum when I decided to sell my Malibu and step back into the Correct Craft family again. I started with a 78 Ski Nautique in 1982 then went Malibu from 1990 to 2013.
First went to PN for help on my search.   Then found CCF.   What a vast improvement.
At least from my perspective. I like to repair nearly everything on my equipment.
( although I did let the insurance company pay for needed fiberglass work)
This forum has helped with each and every question so far.
Thanks Keith for establishing a first class fix and repair site that also offers some pretty great conversations along the way.

This is like a trip down memory lane

Next topic would be the "warm, enthusiastic welcome" that the suspicious new guy gets

In the link below is the "tranny man's welcome"

When it was over he was definitely welcome
