I got my boat back from having stringers and floor replaced. Immediately carried to another shop to see about fixing what the 1st idiot did. Just left there and they are removing all he did.
If you are in Florida or South GA stay away from a place called 1st Choice Marine of St Augustine. I wanted to post pics of the mess this guy did but for some unknown reason my phone has decided to remove all my pics .

Hope you can get those pics back. In any case it’s good to know you made the escape and we all hope you were able to keep the money they wasted on their poor workmanship.

Found 1 pic, still no idea where the others went. This is under the piece of wood for the seats, that was not even glassed in. The moron laid the wood down stuck a box in it and just put one layer of mat and resin over it. That was the 1st place the new shop started as the wood did not even go from side wall to side wall.Just makes me sick.
Was told late this afternoon that when they pulled the new glass off the port stringer they just lifted the wood out, was not bedded to floor and no resin on it...

Everyone on this forum that pays someone to do anything has nightmares to share. I took my newly acquired Super Sport to a dealer for a steering cable replacement and if there was a way to do something wrong, they managed to figure out how. Pretty much everything they touched wound up being done wrong. It’s sad but the reason folks on this site do things themselves isn’t just about the money. It’s about doing it right.
