I mean that quite literally...

I had the Ski out yesterday. When I was parking the trailer/boat back inside the garage, I forgot to disconnect the "breakaway cable" between the tow vehicle and the tailer brake actuator. Well, I can assure y'all that the cable does, indeed, break away.

Now the problem is that the repair parts are no longer available. The unit is a Titan Aero 7500 surge actuator for disk brakes. Titan no longer makes this model. I did several searches on-line and came up with nothing. Titan part number I need for the breakaway cable assembly, part number 4502700. Then I also need the breakaway lever, part number 4597100.

How many of y'all would run without a breakway emergency stop feature on the trailer?

You should be able to make a cable from crimp-ferrule type parts from hardware store. Typically sold for garage doors.

can the broken lever be welded? Post a picture, maybe someone will have an idea.

The cable is not the problem. I can make one of those, no problemo. The issue is that the lever that activates the brake cylinder is totally destroyed in my bone-head maneuver. It's the lever that is causing me diaper rash...

This is really starting to annoy me....

My bone-headed move is not quite so easily fixed. The master cylinder and surge actuator linkage was damaged when the break-away cable was torn out. Just my luck....I can't find all the replacement parts. Some, just not all. Also, the repair parts are approaching the cost of a new surge brake actuator. Looks like I'll bite the bullet and replace the actuator.

I feel your pain. Bought a boat with a bone dry and disfunctional Atwood actuator on the trailer. I've changed them before. $200 and 1/2 hour - back in business. Surprise, they don't make them anymore. GRRRR.
