Sorry for the delay Pete, but I did get some pictures.
After a lot of Mopars, this is my first Poly 318. Jack |

8122pbrainard got the right conversion. Works great. However some of the hoses in âKâ (at end of part number) kit may need rerouting or adjusting no big deal. The housing and stat are nice

Jack, Don't look too hard. The T stat conversion for these early 318's is for cooling water and not an oil cooler. ![]() But, while you're at the boat, tack some pictures for posting. We'd love to see the boat. |

The vernatherm is used on aircraft engines to let engine oil bypass the oil cooler during engine warm up. I didn't know we had one on the marine engine.
I too have a Chrysler 318, so will look this weekend. Jack |

Hi all,
I have a 1968, I believe, 16' Correctcraft with a 318 Chrysler marine engine. Cam anyone help me understand the two thermostat system? One says Vernatherm. Can I update with a new t-stat housing and a simple thermostat? Thanks for the help! |
