Hello ,
First time to post a question on site, I purchased a 1979 southwind about a year ago and traveled 1,300 miles round trip which is another story that I may post haha. The boat is on a 3dv trailer that has an ill conceived bow stop and winch welded in place of the original hoop or channel and 2x6 was . I would like to. Replicate the hoop and crash pad stop. My question is there a difference in the hoop on a 3 trailer to a 3dv. The other question where can I find drawings , specs on this bow stop. Thank you This site has been so informative and has helped me avoid pitfalls in repairing and bringing my boat up to speed . Hats off to all |

Terry,
Somewhere on site there are some plans for the hoop style bow stop. I'll do some searching. What problems did you have with your existing modified stop? Welcome to posting and since you have been around for some time, you know we love pictures. |

Thank you
The modified bow stop was welded in out of center line of trailer and To far forward knowing need for tongue weight it is a little much. Winch is to low pulling bow down and transom up off the bunks |

I have a tall hoop style off of a 1980 4dv in my back yard. Since gary is retired and so bored he should come over and measure it.

Gary,
Thank you for drawings, as you mentioned to make it bigger would be extended the verticals from 40” up to accommodate for the taller bow. Thanks again for advise and support. Terry |
