Hey guys
Ok, my 93 SN has the mirror mounted down on the dashboard, which is OK when nobody else is in the boat..but I need a mirror higher up, so I can see over other "heads" when I have passengers. What "clamp" would work with a 1993 SN for the top of my windshield?? I already have two mirrors, just need a clamp. THanks |

The factory Cipa Mount is NLA. There’s plenty of aftermarket mirrors that’ll work, CIPA has a cheesy bracket, PTM has some mega monster mirrors. It’ll be a long shot but try Don with Outlaw Marine in Melrose, FL. I found my like brand new factory CIPA Mount from him and he made the statement he had several.

Keep in mind 1993 was a rectangular windshield frame.

This is what we use on our '95 and works great. We do use a little rubber in between to protect the windshield and screw that bolt in tighter.

thanks guys....WOODY...your mounts are for a Round window frame/trim...so those mounts won't work on a 93 S.N.

Lucky you. I got mine from Don for $20, which may have included shipping I’m not sure. Nautique Parts, when they had them up to about 1.5 years ago was $150 just for the bracket, no mirror.

So the mount that came on my CIPA mirror is not CIPA OEM? Or are you saying it is not Correct Craft OEM? Either way I wouldn't say that it's much lesser quality it's just a different design. I have been using it for years and it has never had a problem.

I should say one’s the original CIPA OEM Mount found originally on Correct Crafts from 1994-2010 which is hard to obtain now. Then like I said in my original post there’s the cheesy little bracket that CIPA makes.

My 2004 SN 196 LE came with the “cheesy” mount (Orlando 76 description) from the factory, same as eBay link in above post. I’ve not had any issues with it. Seems to work pretty good now but I’ve only owned the boat for 15 years.

So it looks like the cheesy one is actually CIPA's newer improved more versatile design. It allows for vertical and horizontal adjustment instead of just horizontal. One twist of the main adjustment knob and the mirror drops straight down and out of the way allowing for clearance for covers or in my case climbing over the windshield when the bimini top is up.
