Does anyone have a resource for replacing, or restoring gauges in a 1978 Southwind20? Some of mine don't work, and all of them need brightening.

Sometimes your better off looking for used ones in better shape. Gauge restoration is very expensive and time consuming. I had a Telflex tach repaired once it took over a year to get it done. Many won't work on these "cheap" gauges.

Thanks Gary. For the gauges that work, has your experience been that you can clean and touch them up, or is it not advisable to try to dissassemble (the ones that work)?

If they are the crimped metal bezels or the plastic ones they are pretty much sealed,I think thats why a gauge place won't usually touch them.
