Anyone now where I can find a new fuel pump?
The old one has the glass bowl which I’d like to eliminate. |

Then and now automotive can take care of your fuel pump needs. They will also have a rebuild kit for your pump Why do you want to get rid of the glass sediment bowl? You may find it interesting that pumps with bowls are a coveted item with vintage boat owners! They are great for keeping the junk out of your engine. Take it a step farther and a Wix 33034 filter element will fit inside of the bowl making the pump a fantastic filter too. |

I guess to answer your question, the same fuel pump that fits a 351w fits your 260. So a part number for a new fuel pump without the glass bowl would be Carter M60389 available from a whole bunch of places. It also comes with the added bonus of having a ruptured diaphragm leakoff line that a 65 vintage fuel pump didn't have. So it's a safer fuel pump when it comes to minimizing your chances of having an explosion. Or you can do like Pete says and get a rebuild kit for what you have and keep that. Thanks Keno, problem with the glass bowl is I can’t get a good seal. So I would rather op for the safe version.

Maybe a new bowl gasket would help? BTW, they come in the rebuild kits. |
