Lay some cardboard under the trans. Many times it will give you an idea where the trans is leaking.

People usually just say it's either your front pump seal or the rear coupling seal, since they're the most likely spots but there are other choices You also have in the back, the output bearing retainer gasket and in the front, the big rubber seal between the pump and the forward and reverse adapter and the gasket between the casing and the forward and reverse adapter. The B/W manual from the reference section will show where each of these spots are in the exploded view. Remember your "Velvet Dipstick" thread back in 2019? I'm not sure if that was your 83 or 84 dipstick but it doesn't really matter One of the variety of things that came up in that thread was your oil return tube and strainer and the fitting that holds it in the case. You took the strainer out and replaced some fittings and hoses. You have 3 threaded connections that can leak right there. I'd make sure those connections aren't leaking before looking at all of the other more intrusive stuff. Pete's little piece of cardboard ought to tell you if you're leaking from the front or the rear and you can go from there  |

Still got leak. Can I use teflon tape on the 45 coming out of rear? I think that is the culprit.

Do not use teflon tape on the SAE 45* flare. Flare fittings seal on the 45* angle. They do not usually leak, I suspect an old hose might be leaking at the fitting and not the fitting connection leaking. The flare fittings hold pressure without leaks up and above 1000 PSI which your tranny does not create so it should not leak. Did you take it apart inspect clean and assemble again?
If the 45* fitting screws into the transmission that thread is likely to be a pipe thread or NPTF fitting. Those do tend to leak and a sealer or teflon can help but only use sealer on the male threads to avoid any getting inside the fluid flow.
