Since so many of us have the Ford Windsor engines, I thought I'd link this on the history.

Great read. Thanks! I’ve had fords my whole life. I had a 1966 mustang hardtop with a 289 in high school. Great car but a touch heavy. 3 explorers since then too, none V8, 93, 98 and 07. My dad has a 78 F100 at the house w a 289   It was originally powered by a 302. My grandfather bought it new in 78.

The reason I had a 91 5.0 Ford Mustang was because of my Correct Craft Mustang.

David, my high school 65.  (with a transplanted 302 that my dad and I did as a father son project.  Also, when I was away on a school trip, my dad, obviously suffering a mid life crisis, added dual glasspacks)  At the same time, our boat was a mustang, my mom drove a 67 mustang and my brother drove another 65 mustang that was later replaced by a 71 mustang.

Thanks for the interesting link!
True confessions;

Always a Chevy man. Many Corvettes.
2004 bought a 2000 Ranger, 4 cylinder for a business need. I was SO impressed with that thing, that I wound up with a 2002 Mustang GT manual convertible. Man, was that car fun to drive! So, I went to the dark side.
Footnote: I sold that Ranger 3 years ago with 285,000 miles on it, and just the other day I saw it!! Same guy I sold it to, still running, 325,000!

I have never been a fan of Ford . That said in 1989 when I bought my new Supra it had an option for a Chevy 350. I chose the 351 because 99.9 % were Ford equipped and I thought it would be had to find parts for the Chevy .  32 years later no problems I guess I chose right.

I got 65 Mustang 289 3 speed convertible for my 16th birthday.  It was an awesome car.  I ran autocross with it and did pretty well.  Sure wish I still had it!

Greatest movie ever. The scene where Joe Pesci kicks the pool hustlers a$$ for his $200 meanwhile never breaking stride. Thats my youngest son’s personality with a lung disease, “ I ain’t got time for this $hit”

I was always told the 351W was never meant to be used in the auto industry hence the taller block and at time too tall for Ford’s lineup but was rather meant to be used in marine industry and to step into ground power applications like generators and compressors 🤷‍♂️

Looks like it is a Eaton marine out of warren Michigan

Sending the picture to Keith  is a better choice. Ken isn't a site administrator so he wouldn't be able to add it in the reference section. Keith's email address is at the bottom of the main page.

Good tip
I’m guessing there is not any new info for you hard core ford folks. Looks like a dealer advertising cut sheet to help sell Eaton marine interceptor   No fancy specs
Fun to look at though
