Got a line on a low mileage 98 Chevy Tahoe motor for 500 bucks

Most of the trailer made it home - had to stop for the license plate bracket/light/plate when it fell off 10 miles in and for the port guide post when it broke mostly off and started dragging on the ground 200 miles in - it is a very rusty eagle trailer - been repainted more than once - brakes are neutered - probably keep it around for a yard trailer until it breaks in half at an inopportune and dangerous moment some day.   

Boat is pretty good - hull doesn’t have so much as a scratch that I’ve found and buffs up nicely - owner found the back trunk covers - those will need new vinyl and the motor box could be restitched or recovered. The boat powers right up with the code, stereo works, gauges mostly work, perfect pass needs a little attention, running gear all good, controls all good.   Exhaust manifolds are shot and the engine is full of salt water and toast. The bel housing, trans mounts and trans are very very corroded - so that will possibly be the worst of the swap.   I’d rather touch none of it - but have a trans and mounts I could probably spare if needed.

No the motor doesn’t turn - took off the exhaust manifolds and water poured out of the exhaust runners on both sides - plugs are full of rust and muck - she’s locked up and going to stay that way - prev owner burned out the starter trying to turn it that way - with all the exterior corrosion the long block is just scrap

I had a 99 Tahoe, the 350 vortec is a strong engine. Ran great until the car was totaled in 2016.
