has anybody tried this thing? ( i got it form skidim yesterday. it didn't come w/ any instructions. from what i found online your supposed to just whack it w/ a hammer and the vibrations loosen the prop so you can pull it off by hand. i think it's going back tomorrow.

The instructions say, if it doesn't work the first time, get a bigger hammer.

Hammers and prop shafts are not friends.

should be called a shaft bender instead of a prop knocker. POs send it back and get the puller

My prop shop uses a puller in conjunction w/a brass hammer...I think they know what they're doing, at least I hope so since I pay em to do it

Never used a hammer to pull a prop off before. Most the time I have had them come off very easy once the nut is removed, if not I get the puller out and it slides right of. I have heard of heat being required, but never a hammer.
