3 Diff blu tops,
D34M 10X6.8, 7.8 tall
D31M 12.8X6.5, 8.4 tall
34M 10X6.8, 7.8 tall
Not sure the size of your 85SN box.
34M is the most popular, its too tall to fit in my boat, 95SN, because of the height.

Optimas are nice but never inexpensive. Are you near your boat? Can you measure your box dimensions?
Mine is 8 in. deep, length and width havnt been an issue. Last night I returned a great deal ($$) on a battery because after attaching the cables on top the lid wouldnt fit flush. When i tried to install using the side mount the pos and neg were reversed from my previous battery and my neg. cable was too short. If I cant find another reasonably priced battery that fits I will measure and price out a longer neg cable and go hacksaw on the top terminals. Good Luck.

My optima blue top d34M fits inside the stock battery box of my 86 nautique. I dont think they changed up the size from 85 to 86
