The Silver Arrow is a very interesting boat for Chris Craft. They were a very limited production boat and was their first venture into fiberglass. Because of this the hull was basicly a wood framed (the whole boat, not just stringers) boat with a fiberglass skin. I seen some restoration and WOW big time rot!!
Just a side note about wood boats and fiberglass. If anyone is looking at a wood boat that has had the bottom fiberglassed, don't buy it unless you are planning on a compleat new bottom. |
