Curious what the Dominique niche was ? General cruising ?
Feels like I am hanging 10 but in reality - probably hanging 6.

Dominique is same hull as BFN, but instead of the rear facing spotters seat it has a passenger bucket seat.

I'm really hoping someone from here got that Dominique, went for $3,200.  Bids went up fast in the last few minutes.

When I saw it was still below $2,000 I was wishing it was closer, I might have gone for it.  In the end it's still a good buy for someone, boat looks to be in good shape, engine problems can be fixed.

No pylon unless I'm just not seeing it.  And a can of starting fluid on the platform, never a great sign.  Then again maybe it goes for really short money, in which case someone gets a great deal!

I'll guess it's a1992

I based that on the picture that shows the transom (the 7th picture )and if you blow it up, the last 2 digits in the HIN are 92 Wink

Notice that it’s not currently running… the words he used in his fb ad were a little less optimistic. It’s also listed under “boat parts” rather than under “boats” on eBay… seller is throwing up all sorts of red flags IMO.

Hey Daryn, if you are going to post stuff that people might be interested in, post a link too.

This seller seems to have the same boat listed twice.  Once with only 4 pics on trailer, once with more pictures and showing interior.

Links are really easy, just click on the "insert hyperlink" icon above the post, then cut and paste the web page address into it.  Only thing to watch for is the insert box already puts "http://" or "https://" into it, so you have to delete that part of the address and choose the correct one.  Not sure what I said actually makes sense, but it's easy if you just try it a few times.

The boat looks like it's in good shape.  Love the color.  I'm not as up to date on pricing as I used to be, so not sure if that's a good deal or not at 10k, though certainly it's hard to find good slalom wake boats for that kind of money, so based on capability it seems like a good deal.  That was the last year with wood stringers, so if it were me I'd be looking for 1993 or newer in that hull.  But then again it looks well cared for so no reason to think the stringers would be bad on it, just have to take a look.

I really only like the paragon slant back edition.
But Could be talked into this one if in cherry condition.
Great point on wood stringers, Uumm
Gonna have to be semi local for me

Slant backs are great looking boats and decent wakes.  The Sport slant back is one of my all time favorite hulls from a looks perspective.

I'm not saying you should avoid wood stringers.  If I ever want a '70's Ski or 80's 2001 I wouldn't hesitate, just would take some care looking at the boat.  All I was saying is with the 1 year difference, and on that generation, I'd likely go toward the composite stringers because I doubt there is much difference in market price.

I loved my 1994 “slant-back”.  Sexy lines, for sure.  My 2001 Bubble Butt skis better but isn’t as purdy.

Don't be dissin' on Team Red now...that's bad juju.  The marine gremlins may come up and bite you in the transom.

At $23,000 that could be a decent buy for someone.  Certainly a lot to pay for a 26 year old boat, but kind of unique, a lot of details that someone might like if you are into upgrades/customization.  Certainly a great ski hull even if not made lighter.
