I have a 1993 sport nautique. I bought the hawkeye 2B to mount as a depth finder. One lake in particular in my area really requires it because of the terrain. I searched the forums and some people said to glue it in right behind the ski tow pole. I tired that and it didn't work. I may not have used enough glue in the bottom of the boat to give it good contact. I can try that again, but I wondered if anyone else had a thought or a picture you could share with me.

I installed a Hawkeye in my 1994 Ski Nautique with good results. The spot I chose was in the starboard side of the bilge, near the side vertical wall. I needed to find water flow that was as smooth as possible for optimum function. The location I chose was not too far from the log, at the approximate spot opposite of the raw water intake.

It's called the shaft log. Where the shaft comes through the hull.
