Which is preferable, the original 1 piece style or the 2 piece? Not sure of the purpose of the 2 piece. It would appear to have less bearing surface support.

I like the one-piece.  Some have said that the 2-piece provides better lubrication.  My 1-piece served me well for years.

I figure it's pretty much a toss up, just like whether you should use rubber or plastic. Wink

These days most struts seem to come with 2 piece bearings for whatever reason.
