Hi! I have a 90 ski nautique, love it, but the bolts on the transom on the right side that holds the platform are loose. Can I reach by the inside to the nut so I can tight it and fix that??
keep it simple:)

Are these the upper or lower bolts or both upper and lower?

The upper are through bolts with nuts on the inside and the lower are lag bolts into the transom.

They both go to a reinforced area with wood sandwiched between the inner and outer fiberglass.

You can get to the nuts for the upper bolts with the gas tank either out or moved forward enough to give you some working room.

If the lower are loose, you might have some mushy wood in there, but you could go to a bigger diameter lag bolt of the same length and see if that gives you some bite into the wood.

The lower aren't through bolted because they're below the floor level.

Hi did my repair of loose platforme bolts which are lags????not through bolts ????and replaced them by ss through bolts with big washers and nuts. We don’t see the lags from the interier you have to take a layer of fiberglass off to see them
keep it simple:)
