Looking for the name of a stainable sealer to fill the seams on the side of my 53’. Can anyone provide the name of a seam filler?

Chief,  depending on how open the seams are you could try a can of Famowood in their mahogany color.  It dries hard and will take stain to some  degree. You’ll have to do a test area to see the results.  I’m also assuming you’ll be sanding and refinishing the entire hull sides?

I’m not aware of any seam sealer that will take a stain and I’d be concerned that if the boat swells up it will push the filler out and look terrible, that could be the case with the Famowood as well.

The other issue I see is cleaning all those seams appropriately,  that will be a lot of work.

Good luck, keep us informed and maybe post a photo of your boat sides so we can see how bad they are opened.
You can’t change the wind but you can adjust your sails

Thank you. I was hoping there was something pliable that would adapt to the swelling. This part worries me the most. After application I will be sanding, staining and sealing the rest of the boat.
