206 and the 216 are two separate designed hulls. the 206 shares the all the same dimensions as a 196 from the windshield back, 206 is stretched from the windshield forward 1' The 216 was completely designed as it's own hull and is it's own generation. not really designed from or on top of any other hull platform.

I remember this got discussed some time ago, I had wondered if the 216 was an updated version of the '98-on Sport Nautique hull, was explained then that it wasn't. I think safe to say a 216 won't have nearly as good slalom wakes as a 206.
