Trying not to sound like a smart *ss (and really am not try to be), but my guess is high quality "marine carpet" There are many suppliers. Just look for the heaviest carpet or the ones with the thick backing. Stay away from the plastic carpet (aka Astroturf or indoor/outdoor carpet).

I've heard that some "thick" carpet is bad about trapping water underneath and not allowing adequate drying.

This guy is pretty cool. He has a ton of carpet and good prices. I almost bought some for my 84, but then I sold it. He is very knowledgable, give him a call |

Lowes has some really nice marine carpet. I used a 26 oz. looped pile marine carpet in my floor resto. Cut pile seems to hold dirt more and flattens down quicker. Their carpet has a black polyurethane backing the pile is molded into. I did mine for $78.00, carpet, gallon of glue, and trowel.
